Food for Thought: gather around the dinner table to satisfy your appetite and make you think!
Enjoy the delightful and delicious cuisine of Rainbow Junktion whilst we think about where your food comes from and where it goes, what is does to you, and how some people can’t/ don’t have enough of it.

Leeds Indie Food invites you to 5 provocative Food for Thought evenings, where your taste buds and your thoughts will be teased and challenged. First off, enjoy an extraordinary and experimental 5 course meal courtesy of Rainbow Junktion, part of the Real Junk Food Project network. Rainbow Junktion are a café who intercept and make use of food that would otherwise go to waste from supermarkets, restaurants, and a whole host of other sources.

As well as this opportunity for waste-free fine dining, there will be talks, discussions and workshops to join in with, all revolving around solving some of the world’s most demanding food related issues – tonight, we’re looking at Food Poverty.

Your ticket includes five courses and the discussions afterward. Alcohol will be onsale courtesy of Toast Ale Ltd.

All the food served will be sourced from The Real Junk Food Project (TRJFP) and Rainbow Junktion. TRJFP and RJ are organisations that started in Leeds, and they revitalise overlooked, undervalued and discarded ingredients. All proceeds will be donated to the community organisation Rainbow Junktion.
