DO. Film Fringe and Leeds Bicycle Film Club present a screening of white knuckle bike doc Line of Sight, a rip-roaring tour through the world of underground bicycle messenger racing filmed using helmet mounted cameras. Expect a breathtaking hour of vehicle-dodging alley cat races from across the globe.

The event is part of Film Fringe’s ‘What About Work?’ series, focussing on 21st century labour issues. Many of Leeds’ restaurants and fast food outlets now make use of bicycle couriers through services like Deliveroo,   an industry where dangerous working conditions goes hand in hand with uncertain hours and pay.

After the film there will be a discussion, with speakers from anti-capitalist group Leeds Plan C and the Leeds branch of the IWW (International Workers of the World), who have been organising and working with Deliveroo riders to end victimisation and enact positive change. Copes of the Rebel Roo newsletter will also be available.

There will be a second screening after the discussion, around 6PM, for those who cannot make the advertised start time.

Free, un-ticketed.
